Thypoch M Mount Positive-Lock Adapter Series: The Final Piece in Building the M Mount Ecosystem

July 21, 2025

Thypoch will launch the M Mount Positive-Lock Adapter Series on July 22nd, available in M-E, M-L, M-Z, M-RF, and M-Arri.

Engineered for professional photographers and videographers, the Adapter Series ensures unparalleled lens connection stability and reliability. With its precision design and exceptional compatibility, this series offers a robust foundation for cross-system creative work, empowering creators to unlock new possibilities.

Cinema-Standard Positive-Lock Mechanism

Unlike traditional passive-lock adapters, which may cause lens shake or accidental detachment under demanding conditions, the Thypoch M Mount Positive-Lock Adapter utilizes a Positive-Lock mechanism, similar to the PL mount standard used in cinema cameras.

This is the only adapter series on the market designed to meet the rigorous demands of professional video and film production workflows. Its design effectively eliminates micro-movements caused by external forces, such as follow-focus torque, ensuring stable, high-quality footage with complete security.

Innovative Dual-Lock
System

The Thypoch M Mount Adapter features a groundbreaking dual-lock system for added security. The first positive lock ensures a tight connection between the lens and the adapter, while the second lock reinforces it, preventing accidental removal unless the safety lock is deliberately released.

Whether shooting in fast-paced environments, at extreme angles, or under challenging conditions like drone vibrations or stabilizer movements, this dual-lock design minimizes lens shake and enhances lens safety, allowing videographers to focus fully on capturing critical moments without worry.

Customizable Detachable Handle Module

The Thypoch adapter features an innovative anti-interference design, customized for various camera systems. It includes a detachable handle module that can be repositioned to fit individual operating preferences or camera button layouts. Alternatively, users can swap it for a flat, non-slip module, providing additional flexibility. This design eliminates interference commonly caused by fixed handles, offering seamless installation and operation.

Universal Compatibility with
Diverse Mounts

The Thypoch M Mount Positive-Lock Adapter ensures seamless compatibility with major mirrorless systems. The Thypoch adapter includes M-E, M-L, M-Z, M-RF and M-Arri versions, fully supporting Thypoch's Simera, Eureka, and Simera-C series, as well as third-party lenses Leica M0.8 and Cooke SP3. The M-Arri is compatible with the Cooke SP3 series, while Leica M0.8 lenses are compatible with all Thypoch positive-lock adapters.

This versatile adapter enables users to effortlessly switch between camera bodies, making it easy to use a single lens across different systems. It significantly enhances equipment flexibility and expands creative possibilities, making it an ideal choice for photographers and videographers working with multiple cameras.

M-Arri
Adapter for ARRI Cameras

The M-Arri module will be released to support ARRI camera models like the ARRI Amira, ARRI Alexa Mini, ARRI Alexa 35 (non-modified), ARRI Alexa Mini LF (non-modified), and ARRI Alexa 265. When paired with the Simera-C series lenses, users can achieve excellent image quality with the wide-open T1.5 aperture, offering a lightweight and high-quality shooting setup ideal for documentaries and short film production. Additionally, this module enables the use of other M-mount style lenses, allowing for creative visual expressions.

Precision Engineering for Ultimate Durability

The Thypoch adapter is built with exceptional precision, using aerospace-grade aluminum alloy for the mirrorless mount and high-strength stainless steel for the M-Arri Adapter. Both components are CNC-machined with ultra-high precision to ensure flawless flange distance and maintain the lens’s original optical performance.

Designed to withstand the toughest professional workflows, the adapter has been rigorously tested through 50,000 mount/dismount cycles, ensuring a secure connection even after prolonged, high-frequency use. It is ready for immediate use right out of the box, with no need for further adjustments, offering long-lasting reliability and durability.
