In collaboration with renowned brand DZOFILM, the emerging brand Thypoch in the field of camera lenses is setting new standards with its Simera-C lens series released at IBC 2024. The Thypoch Simera-C series aims to be one of the most compact T/1.5 cinema lenses, weighing approximately 400 grams. Each lens is priced at USD 879/EUR 799.

The Simera-C lenses share the same optical formula with the existing Simera photography lenses, thus they possess the same image quality and characteristics. To achieve a more circular bokeh effect, these lenses include 16 aperture blades, while the Simera photography version uses 14 aperture blades.

Main Features:

-- Offers 4 focal lengths ranging from 28mm-75mm, ensuring diverse narratives, with a 21mm focal length in planning.

-- Consistent T1.5 large aperture and 16 aperture blades provide a circular and pleasing bokeh effect.

-- Extremely compact and lightweight, weighing just 390-470 grams. Suitable for car, handheld, and gimbal shooting.

-- Highly compatible with mirrorless cameras and cinema cameras (like DJI Ronin 4D).

-- Minimal chromatic aberration with high resolution.

-- Dual focus scales in metric and imperial units.

-- Equipped with an aluminum hard shell case that can accommodate a set of four lenses, compact enough to fit in a suitcase, with a shoulder strap for easy portability.

Simera-C full-frame lenses, covering focal lengths of 28mm, 35mm, 50mm to 75mm (with a 21mm in the future), can handle most shooting scenarios. Equipped with 16 aperture blades and a uniform T1.5 large aperture, these lenses easily create an unparalleled spatial visual impact, enhancing the immersiveness of the image.

Simera-C lenses use aspherical, ED ultra-low dispersion lenses, and high refractive index elements to achieve ultra-high-definition resolution and effectively control dispersion, making them ideal for 8K high-definition video production. Additionally, these lenses employ high refractive index multilayer coatings to minimize flare and ghosts. Even under strong backlight conditions, Simera-C lenses present high contrast and overall clean image quality.

Simera-C lenses are perfectly compatible with Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras, Sony FX cinema cameras, as well as Red, DJI Ronin 4D, and Arriflex cinema cameras.

Pairing the extremely compact Simera-C lenses with autofocus systems such as DJI Focus Pro can simplify equipment operation and reduce the workload for the team, enhancing shooting flexibility. Additionally, when mounted on DJI Ronin 4D FLEX systems and Sony Venice Rialto Extension, Simera-C lenses can easily capture challenging angles such as low-angle shots, over-the-shoulder perspectives, and tight car interior spaces. This setup not only expands film expressiveness but also significantly enhances shooting agility, controllability, and creative scope.

Simera-C lenses have the same 210° focus travel and gear position design. This means there is no need to readjust when changing lenses or accessories. This feature, especially when using stabilizers or sliders, reduces the time required for rebalancing and improves shooting efficiency.
