With a dramatic 106° field of view, the Simera-C 16mm captures expansive spatial depth and environmental detail, creating an immersive visual perspective for cinematic storytelling, making it particularly suited for architectural cinematography, landscape sequences, documentary work, and dynamic action scenes.

Despite its expansive perspective, the lens maintains a remarkably fast constant T1.9 aperture. This combination enables filmmakers to work confidently in low-light environments while preserving cinematic subject separation and depth.

The Simera-C 16mm features an advanced optical structure composed of 15 elements in 11 groups, engineered to deliver exceptional sharpness and consistency across the frame. With a center resolution up to 85 lp/mm, the lens is optimized for the demands of today’s high-resolution imaging systems like A7RV, LeicaM11, Sony Venice ii 6K, Alexa LF, Red V-Raptor 8K, etc.

Careful correction of distortion and chromatic aberration ensures clean rendering and natural image fidelity, even when shooting wide open at T1.9. The result is a sharp yet organic cinematic texture that retains the warmth and character of the Simera-C series.

Near-Zero Focus Breathing for Seamless Cinematic Movement

Designed specifically for professional motion imaging, the Simera-C 16mm exhibits virtually near-zero focus breathing. Focus transitions remain visually stable during pulls, enabling smoother and more immersive storytelling without distracting changes in framing.

A close focusing distance of just 0.16m further expands creative flexibility, allowing filmmakers to create striking compositions with exaggerated spatial depth and immersive foreground detail.

Continuing the Simera-C philosophy of lightweight cinema design, the 16mm condenses its optical performance into a compact body measuring approximately 70 mm in length. The lens weighs only 467g in M mount and 490g in E mount, making it exceptionally versatile for mobile productions.
