After participating in the Photopia Hamburg photo exhibition and the Paris Photo Salon, Thypoch began to establish contacts with a group of manual and vintage lens enthusiasts. The unique Thy-Photography concept began to take root, supporting users to explore endless forms of personal expression through real images of various themes, such as street photography, portraiture, landscape, and art photography.
Nearly a month after the debut event, Thypoch officially launched its first series, Simera, equipped with two focal lengths—Simera FF 35mm f/1.4 & 28mm f/1.4, available for global ordering. To add color to this first release event, the brand also held an engaging event on its official Instagram, offering a Simera lens valued at $699 (€639) as an attractive prize.
As the slogan says, the spirit of “Insights into Eternity” can be reflected through the fleeting moments of everyday life. This is why Thypoch's first series, Simera, came into being. In Greek, “Simera” means “today,” and the 35mm f/1.4 & 28mm f/1.4 cleverly inspire users to discover the hidden charm of ordinary days from infinite angles and forms without restraint. Additionally, Simera hints at a modern image style.
Image Quality
The Simera 35mm and 28mm with an aperture of f/1.4 and 14-blade diaphragm can create a smooth, dreamy bokeh effect, easily separating the subject from the background, presenting an excellent storytelling visual effect. These lenses also adopt floating elements to enhance image quality in close-up shots. The combination of aspherical elements and unique optical design effectively improves chromatic aberration and corner image quality.

Mechanical Design
To help users capture moments of inspiration, the silver and black lenses designed for Leica M Mount provide an automatic depth-of-field indicator, making the use of hyperfocal distance more convenient
distance.

The minimum focusing distances of the 35mm and 28mm lenses are 0.45 meters and 0.4 meters, respectively, enabling users to explore subtleties of the subject with extraordinary detail. Additionally, these lenses support rangefinder focusing, with slight resistance at 0.7 meters on the focusing ring to indicate the need to switch to electronic viewfinder for focus accuracy.

The smoothly designed aperture ring with silent and click modes provides seamless transitions between video recording and photographic applications.
Price and Availability
The Simera 35mm and 28mm lenses with black or silver housing are priced at $699 (€639), including a lens case and square hood. They can be purchased at B&H, Adorama, and Calumet. The 35mm lens is now available for shipping, and the 28mm lens will be available in late December.
